By consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Muizaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, DHSB was incorporated in 1993 as a subsidiary of Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (Brunei Trust Fund). Its main initial role was to provide services and manage the welfare of the people of Brunei when performing Hajj.

In its early years, Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad (DHSB) mainly focused on the handling of Brunei Haj Pilgrims. In its effort, to diversify its products and services, DHSB introduced its first umrah package in 1997. In 2001,DHSB introduced Travel and Tours products and services which include airline reservation and ticketing worldwide hotel reservations as well as providing inbound and outbound tour packages.

Other products that we currently offer also include Umrah Plus Tour packages which is simply an Umrah package together with a tour package of another destination such as Umrah Plus Cairo, Umrah Plus Istanbul and many more.

In September 2011, Darussalam Holdings Sendirian Berhad (DHSB) reached another milestone yesterday as it started its operations to its first new branch in Kuala belait located at Unit 22, Block D, Lot 8989, Jalan Pandan 7, Kuala Belait.

The services and products available in Kuala Belait shall be same as those provide at the recently opened headoffice at The Airport Mall, Berkas, Berakas, Bandar Seri Begawan.

At present, DHSB is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and an authorized agent for various international airlines which includes Royal Brunei Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways.
